ABOUT AXIS AND ALLIES
Axis and Allies first came out some 25 years ago in the form of a board game called RISK. The game caught on so well that the creators of
the game, Milton Bradly, decided to persue the game further and started working on a new game derived from Risk called Axis and Allies.
They first came out with the World wide game named simply Axis and Allies, which was placed on a CD-ROM to load onto computers. They also made the
board version of it for sale in retail stores around the world.
For some 10 years there were no more versions, and people began asking Milton Bradly whether there
was going to be more or not. Because of the interest online and the success of the sales, Milton Bradly decided to come out with an extension of the game called
Axis and Allies Europe. This extension once again proved to be well received so they continued with the next extension of Axis and Allies Pacific. Soon
after this, to commemorate the 60th anniversy of the D-Day landings in Europe, they came out with a totally different extension called Axis and Allies
D-Day. To this day, all of the versions have been a huge success and continue to delight people and to be played world wide.
To play any version, one only needs
to search for an online gaming club that supports gameplay of the online versions, and through the club meet people from around the world to play the game
with. Over the years, Axis and Allies has proven to be the best game to play online and/or via e-mail, because of the ease with which one can learn the gameplay
through the boxed rules sets, thus prompting a few online clubs to spring up supporting online game play.
