Forfeits (my opponent disappeared)

If your opponent has disappeared, then:

a. If you have not started the game, where the 1st turn has not been submitted yet, then you can simply submit a game finish report and select a "null" game.
b. If the game has started, then send an email to the Rules Director and make sure that you CC your opponent.A Notice Letter of Intent will be sent to you and your opponent.Your opponent will have 48 hours to respond to the notice. If the game does not continue after 4 days or your opponent did not respond within that time frame, you then have the right to submit a"Forfeit Win" with you as the victor. The Rules Director will inform you of the status and authorize the game finish report by forfeit..

Why am I still listed in the "Who's On" link??

Once u have logged on,the Database takes a "picture" of all the members that are currently logged on. It will remain so until you "log out" of the Database. Once u log out, you will no longer be listed in the "Who's On" section, until u log back in. Otherwise, u will remain listed there....

How the Opponent Wanted Section Works

This area is used to setup new games for yourself. Simply click on the link, and fill out the fields according to your preferences. The Database will then "post" your request and when another member does so, the Database will match up your request according to your preferences. You will not see your request, but u will see others that have posted a game request. You can always "change" your post to "match" another member that is posted to get a game now, as opposed to waiting for the same game criteria to be posted....

I'm new at this so I must ask what is bidding? It's not money is it?

Q: What is this bidding thing all about?
A: It is the impression of most players that the Axis have an advantage over the Allies from the beginning of the game. Therefore,to even out the
chances, each player submits a bid for the Allies.A bid consists of a number of units and/or IPCs.Then the player who made the lowest bid will get to play the Allies. The winning bid units/IPCs are then placed on their board"after"the Axis have placed their initial starting ipc's of 12.Then the Allies will notify the Axis of their unit's purchased and placement resulting from the winning bid.The Allies get to actually place more units on the board, thereby increasing the likelihood that the game will be even.

Also, bidding enables multiple strategies to be developed, and almost every game presents different challenges based on the bid.

How the Change Profile Link works

This link is used to enter a "profile" about yourself when you join. We would like to see where you hail from, so if there is a face to face Tournament setup, in your area, we can then notify you of this. This area is also used to change one's "e-mail address" and other areas. Unless you the member, makes the necessary changes regarding your e-mail address here, the Database will still recognize your old e-mail address, and send all mail there. The Database will also make note of both the old and new e-mail address, as reference..
